LA school superintendent: Schools closed after bomb threat

DJUSD Parents/Guardians:
Schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District are closed today due to a credible threat, specific to that area.

As of noon today, the Davis Joint Unified School District staff has confirmed with law enforcement authorities that there are no threats to Davis schools.
As a safety reminder, we require all visitors to check in at the school office and to wear a badge during their stay on campus.  We also ask our parents and community to report any suspicious activity to the school office.  Safety in our schools is our top priority and we have developed and practiced safety protocols as well as communication procedures for urgent situations.
In the event of an emergency situation in our schools, families will receive an urgent alert through phone and email. Information will also be available on our district website and DJUSD Facebook page.
We will provide any additional information or additional resources as appropriate.
Sincerely,
Winfred B. Roberson, Jr.
Superintendent
Davis Joint Unified School District
